Dr. Schulten completed his medical training at the Julius-Maximilian University in Würzburg/Germany in 1995. The PhD title was awarded to Dr. Schulten with the outstanding „cum laude“ in 1996, After receiving his title as consultant urologist in 2000, he moved to Marbella/Spain where he started his private urology clinic specializing in prostate disorders and erectile dysfunction.

 

He has pioneered in the performance of fusion technology for the prostate biopsy and has many years of experience in the treatment of prostate tumors, implementing the Nano Knife technology (Irreversible Electroporation Therapy).

 

Recently, he has developed an additional interest in modern technology, minimally invasive treatment strategies, like the prostate artery embolisation (PAE) for the benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH) and the endovascular balloon dilatation or stenting of pelvic arteries in the case of erectile dysfunction, caused by reduced blood flow to the penis due to atherosclerosis of pelvic vessels (narrowing of one or more vessels).

 

At UroCare he is in charge of patient care, comprehensive diagnostic studies and individual treatment plans.

 

All clinical pre-interventional evaluations and post-interventional follow-ups at UroCare will be carried out with Dr. Schulten.
