We offer evaluation of chronic venous insufficiency causing varicose veins and spider veins of the legs
The vascular system consists of the venous system carrying blood from all our organs back to the heart and the arterial system, bringing oxygenated blood from the heart to the peripheral organs.
In our vascular clinic we evaluate chronic venous problems, mostly of the legs, and chronic peripheral arterial disease (atherosclerosis, narrowing and blockages) of the legs.

Vein Consultations

We offer evaluation of chronic venous insufficiency causing varicose veins and spider veins of the legs. We perform Echo-doppler exams of the deep venous system (specially to rule out deep vein thrombosis) and the superficial venous system evaluating varicose veins and thrombophlebitis as well as the functional capacity of the venous valves in the case of chronic venous insufficiency.
Early treatment may be cosmetic but is also indicated to prevent frequent thrombophlebitis episodes, chronic swelling of the legs and chronic skin ulcerations.

Our treatments consist of:
Fitting of individually measured compression stockings (up to the knee or thigh)
Cosmetic sclerotherapy of spider veins (fine, radish-bluish veins under the skin)
Foam sclerotherapy of larger superficial varicose veins
Radiofrequency ablation therapy of large varicose veins

Peripheral Artery Disease Consultations
​
Patients already diagnosed with peripheral artery disease in one of their leg arteries need a continuous follow-up of their risk factors causing the problem in the first place, and a close control of possible disease progression until treatment may be necessary.
We perform all diagnostic tests necessary, ABI measurement, Echo-doppler ultrasound exams and Angio-CT scans.
Minimally invasive treatment of peripheral artery disease (Angiogram) is one of our specialties. We have the possibility of balloon dilatation procedures (simple balloons and drug eluting balloons), stent insertion and also the mechanical drilling (rotablation) of highly calcified, chronic lesions prior to inserting a stent.
